The 2008 21st Chiang Mai Sixes International Cricket Tournament kicks off on Sunday March 30th with Finals day on Saturday April 5th.
This year the Sixes will be bigger than ever with 36 teams taking the field representing 12 different countries. All the games will be played at the Chiengmai Gymkhana Club.
Tuskers is the Chiang Mai home of the Stuffed Beavers Cricket Club who, in 2007, were officially the lowest ranked team at the tournament with shocking performances on the field. This poor cricket pedigree was somehat compensated by some outstanding feats of drinking and the team look forward to renewing old, and making new friendships at the 2008 Sixes.
Tuskers will be sponsoring the event for the second year and we warmly welcome all the teams, supporters, umpires and administartors to join us for a great week of fun and friviloty which this year will include two special events.
Sunday March 30th - Stuffed Beavers' BBQ | ||
The Stuffed Beavers and Tuskers welcome all teams to join us at the conclusion of the tournaments first day of play at our BBQ. We will be serving the tenderest BBQ ribs, chicken and other dishes at just 299 baht as well as our notorious Thaigarita cocktails by the jug as well as a full range of other beverages. |

Following the popularity of our 'Open Mic Night' in 2007 e have decided to repeat the evening this year. Tuskers will be providing a full sound system and PA, drum kit, guitars and bass for anyone at the Sixes to use and we welcome musicians of whatever talent range to join us and take the stage.
Last year as well as members of the Beavers we saw outstanding (and amusing) performances from players from a number of teams including notably the Yes No Wait Sorries, Sa Pa, the Southerners and the Gloucestershre Gipsies. This year we hope more team will join us for a musical night before finals day.
